The Fortinet Fabric Challenge at VectorUSA Torrance Headquarters.
At our Torrance HQ, we recently hosted a challenge for our engineers centered on the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) framework, thanks to support from Fortinet.
William Higgins, our VP of Information Systems and Solutions Engineer, had the following to share about the event:
“The Fortinet Fabric Challenge recently held at the VectorUSA Torrance facility was a dynamic and engaging event, designed to deepen our engineers' expertise in Fortinet's security technologies. With all 18 of our engineers participating, the challenge focused specifically on Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), a critical framework that integrates networking and security functions to provide seamless, secure access to applications and data from anywhere.
The competition was intense, with teams tackling a series of hands-on tasks and problem-solving exercises that tested their understanding and application of SASE concepts. The winning team, comprised of John Murillo and Jeremiah Bell, demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork, narrowly surpassing the second-place team of Ken Beck and Kirill Telyatnikov. The competition was so close that the top five teams were in a tight race for first place, with every second counting as time ran out.
This event not only showcased the technical acumen of our engineers but also fostered a spirit of collaboration and innovation. The experience was invaluable in enhancing our team's proficiency with the latest cybersecurity technologies, reinforcing our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions for our clients.
